This historic Mitchell bomber will fly the route used by Bomber Command to relocate WWII lend-lease bombers to the United Kingdom. To honor all the air crews that perished while moving bombers to the European Theater, Grumpy’s flight crew, led by owner John T. Sessions and fellow pilots Lee Proudfoot and John Romain, will arrive in the United States carrying a special commission Royal Air Force Pooley sword. After completing his tour, he was an instructor on Mithells at Boundary Bay Airport and flew HFF's Grumpy when it was still known as KL161 with the RCAF. Fred lives in Edmonton, Alberta and is a member of the 2nd Tactical Air Force Medium Bombers Association. David Poissant 2TAF MBA Cdn Wing.
