SPONSOR AN AIRCRAFT
We realize that some of you have favorites. The fixed cost to stage a classic aircraft often exceeds $50,000 per year. And if you actually fly it, the operating cost, particularly for the Rolls Royce Merlin–powered aircraft and jets, can exceed $3,000 per hour. To help defray the expenses of showing and flying your favorite aircraft, perhaps you would like to channel your generosity in that direction. For each gift of $5,000, we will add the name of the donor or designee to the “Flight Crew” for that aircraft. The current crew manifest will be placed on board whenever the aircraft goes “wheels up.” E-mail donate@historicflight.org for more info.

Historic Flight has been approached by generous individuals concerning outright donation of an aircraft, or perhaps its inclusion in a temporary display. These offers joyfully demonstrate a donor’s commitment to aviation heritage. Historic Flight welcomes the opportunity to develop an arrangement beneficial to the donor and consistent with its programs.
AVIATION MEMORABILIA
Similarly, if log books, maintenance manuals, uniforms, tools, flying attire, equipment and aviation books no longer have a place in your home, hangar, or the home or hangar of a relative, they might be of continuing benefit to historians and enthusiasts. Historic Flight offers its library and collection of memorabilia and artifacts in a public reading room and archive.

We (2 Mustangs and a Mitchell) were getting organized prior to a show at Boeing Field for the Museum of Flight. It was their gala fundraiser featuring a beautiful B-17. The tower allowed us to do about as much as the law allows while below the approach path to SeaTac and the crowd was most appreciative. We will add you to our list for email announcements. Right now the news is that we’ll be offering flying experiences throughout the 4th of July weekend. 10-6. Free BBQ with a ride. We’ll fly the Electra, B-25 and Beaver. JTS
We visited Vintage Aircraft Weekend 9/4 and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the deteriorating WX.
Even though I live in Vancouver USA, I hereby volunteer for any journeyman tasks you need performed. I just need some advanced notice so I can make travel arrangements.
My aviation experience, besides a life long interest in aviation, is 8.5 years as an FAA controller. I am now retired.
Got to visit the collection with Burt Curtis today (WW2 B-25 and P-51 pilot).

I Love one of your Volunteers, Luke Heckerman! What A great young Man with such a great future ahead of him! Hope you keep him around!
I have been recently been shown some family photos of my grandfather during the war 1940′s, in some of the photos he is stood next a to B52 Plane called “Grumpy”.. I was amazed to google this plane and find myself to this site.
The photos are of the war, and contain my grandfather in various planes, with some images taken from said planes.
It was very inspiring.
