Volunteer Training Day

Historic Flight 5829 E. Rutter Ave., Spokane, WA

Do you like what we do? Care to join our team? This is the annual training day (new and recurrent) for HFF volunteers. Come learn about our aircraft and what goes on behind the scenes at "Spokane's Best Event Venue" (2022). RSVP at 509.535.6000.

“Dust the Rust”

Historic Flight 5829 E. Rutter Ave., Spokane, WA

On this day, HFF pilots and planes will test-fly the fleet following annual inspections. Once “squawks” (i.e., adjustments) are addressed and each pilot demonstrates proficiency, the aircraft become available for member rides. Join us to witness the process. It’s a picnic for the senses.

Member Fly Day

Historic Flight 5829 E. Rutter Ave., Spokane, WA

On this "Member Fly Day," our pilots will brief and fly with members of the public who have purchased local flights. Experience the sounds, smells and sights of vintage aviation. HFF volunteers will marshal planes and staff the BBQ. Flight reservations are encouraged.

Neighbor Day

Historic Flight 5829 E. Rutter Ave., Spokane, WA

Join us for the annual aviation festival to celebrate Felts Field. This no-charge event includes aerial and ground displays, bands, public safety and veterans organizations, and all the people who come together throughout the year at Spokane's first airport, Felts Field. HFF will fly its members on a first-come, first-fly basis.

Challenge Air for Kids and Friends

Historic Flight 5829 E. Rutter Ave., Spokane, WA

A premier volunteer experience, "Challenge Air" pairs volunteer pilots with challenged children and young adults for first flight experiences. We expect seventy-five "co-pilots" will earn their wings on this day. The hangar transforms into a circus tent where our special guests make new friends.
